Arrived promptly and well packaged. No surprises - excellent quality. Haven't yet lit it as its been too windy but very confident we won't be disappointed.
Fantastic quality for the price, only thing I'd change would be a slightly wider opening for this size chimenea but it's certainly not a deal breaker. Very happy

Sorry I cannot review the gauntlets as I bought them as a gift for my granddaughter as she has just bought a pizza oven.
Gifted this as a 60th present to parents, the modern and sleek design is perfect for their patio and they loved it. I was going to get the 150cm version but this size is perfect, not too heavy to move around too. Easy to light too. Delivery was seamless and communication with Neil was very good, definitely recommend.
Smokey beast XL - The unit arrived as promised on time and delivery was swift and well handled., I put the BBQ together the first week and burnt of a fatty meat and to prep the BBQ. Since then I have smoked a full brisket on my 1st smoke and the smoking works well and the meat cooked, only issue i have had was getting the smoker to temperature and keep it there, found it hard to control the heat and burning of the log/charcoal in the fire box which I believe is due to the size but also the limited venting on the fire box itself.. Though I expect this will get easier the more I do, unfortunately since then we have had little chance to uses this due to the continual wet weather however plans are set of a smoke this weekend with all being well....
The unit is based out side and the corten steel is currently weathering well...

Thank you for the review, these are always welcomed.
Smokers do tend to need a little trial and error to maintain the desired temperature. We always advise using cheap cuts of meat or maybe chicken thighs or legs when experimenting at the beginning. We find by the third attempt; the temperature control is achieved.
The weather seems to have improved and hopefully you'll get smoking soon.

I am very happy with the Bonfeu fire pit and plancha we purchased from Fire Pit. It has made a great addition to our garden and helped create some lovely memories. However, I am even more impressed with the quality of after-sales support and help that Neil from the Fire Pit has provided.

As you mentioned in your review, there are Bonfeu models with integrated ash pans, and we agree this does add additional convenience.
I believe we did speak earlier and sorry this didn’t help. Outdoor wood fireplaces will naturally create ash, I would still expect that you are easily able to remove most of it.
There are devices that you can buy that will remove almost 100%. We sell an ash pan cleaner/filter; we think this will do the trick. If you believe this might help, we could offer a healthy discount.
